Thank you to all of the organisations and individuals who have supported Why Refugee Women over the last months.

 As a group of diverse women we are still a new group and are all giving our time and skills voluntarily.

 We have been having regular meetings to discuss the group and future ideas. We are excited to be a group which aims to campaign, influence policy, hold organisations to account and support good practice. We hope to work in partnership with a wide variety of organisations as well as refugee women. Some examples of this will include supporting organisations to implement and act on Why Refugee Women minimum standards once they have signed up. We also aim for refugee women to know their rights and standards they should expect.

 We are currently looking for funding to support us to fulfil our aims and contribute towards us continuing our work.

 We have many future hopes and dreams, including that we can support different cities as well as regions to join us to take forward Why Refugee Women.

 We will be in contact with all of the organisations who signed the Charter shortly to find out how it is being implemented. Sharing stories, expertise and examples of good practice can be one way for us to both inspire and practically support each other.
